Since joining the Institute as a founder member in 2006, Chris has served on the Institute Board (since 2016) and the Trusted Software Foundation (TSFdn) Board (2017-2019), representing the Institute on the Advisory Committee on Trustworthy Systems (ACTS). He has been an active member of the Accreditation Committee (2015-2019) and, since 2012, has been both membership and CCP assessor and interviewer, has assessed training course material, and mentored and guided others in their professional development. Recently Chris has supported government workshops on professionalisation and reviewed many of the CyBOK Knowledge Areas.
Experienced in public (Central Government, Government agencies, and Defence) and private sectors (consulting, professional services, technology design & development, and banking), his understanding of the design principles required to support embedding security into comprehensive IA architectures informs cost effective and proportionate secure development activities for complex network and information systems and pragmatic solutions that support secure development activities.
Chris joined DXC Technology in August 2018, as a Security Architect for a long-running defence programme having previously gained a high degree of experience as a Security Manager, Enterprise IA Architect (CCP Practitioner. IA Arch), and IA Consultant (CCP Snr SIRA). He specialises in space, government, and defence business domains with over 20 years’ experience in IA disciplines.
