Luke Beeson is Aviva’s Group CISO. He is a Chartered Engineer and member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology. Luke joined Aviva in April 2018 to take on the role of CISO for Aviva’s UK businesses.
Prior to joining Aviva Luke worked for BT where he had several roles all with a focus on Service Delivery. Previously General Manager of BT’s Cyber Defence Operations Luke spent two years in this role building and leading a team of Security specialists to counter the cyber security threat to BT and its customers.
Before this Luke was General Manager of BT’s Metal Theft Task Force responsible for all BT’s activities to minimise the impact of cable theft on its customers. As well as driving several internal initiatives to minimise the service impact of cable theft he also worked externally with Industry partners, Law Enforcement Agencies and Government to help increase the level of collaborative working to tackle the problem ultimately resulting in changes to UK legislation.
In his final role at BT as Vice President of Security for Europe and the Global Financial Services sector Luke worked to take BT’s cyber security solutions to market.
