Cardiff Metropolitan University become a CIISec Academic Partner

We are delighted to welcome to welcome Cardiff Metropolitan University as a new Academic partner of CIISec. Cardiff Metropolitan University is a thriving global university founded in 1865 with an academic portfolio oriented towards practice-focused and professionally recognised education and research. The University offers over 250 taught programmes with a strong focus on employability and teaching excellence.

Launched in 2018, the Cardiff School of Technologies focuses on computer science, smart technology, data security, data science, informatics and engineering, and already has over 500 students. The School works in partnership with Welsh government, National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), industry and also offers degree apprenticeship programmes with the Office for National Statistics (ONS), and supports the wider vision of the Cardiff Capital Region. 

Professor Jon Platts, Dean of Cardiff School of Technologies, said: “We’re delighted to be recognised as an Academic Partner of CIISec. This membership will enable us to provide a greater breadth of opportunities to our students, helping them to progress their careers in information security.”
