Session 18 – I, I2 + K1, K2, K3 Research, Applied Research, Contributions to the Community, Contributions to the IS Profession and Professional Development

The Associate Development Programme (ADP) is a two-year programme that has been created to help new recruits to the profession to develop their skills and knowledge against the CIISec Skills Framework. The 18 session programme (monthly) consisting of webinars and face to face events aims to help participants gain Associate Membership of the Institute.


Mike Yeomans, Senior Analyst, Information Security Forum
Mike is an analyst with the Information Security Forum (ISF), specialising in quantitative risk assessment. He has experience in intelligence analysis, politics and law enforcement, and has advised/trained numerous ISF Member organisations on topics including risk assessment, management, and governance. Mike works on a number of projects including risk assessment methodologies, controls Benchmarking, and provides technical input on papers such as Blockchain. He is the ISF’s lead liaison to ISO, providing input on standards including ISO/IEC 27002, 27005 and 27102 (on cyber insurance).

Richard Absalom, Senior Research Analyst, Information Security Forum
Richard Absalom is an analyst with the Information Security Forum (ISF). His work involves investigating, clarifying and sharing best practice with ISF Member organisations.
His research at the ISF has covered topics as varied as supply chain security, artificial intelligence, security assurance, secure Agile development, mobile app security, and identifying future information risks for the flagship Threat Horizon report series. 
Richard has spent over thirteen years in the IT research industry: prior to joining the ISF, he led Ovum’s research into enterprise mobility, mobile security, BYOD and the consumerisation of IT.
