We will be looking at why these standards are being developed and
explore the trade offs involved between network security and privacy and how
these standards change this for individuals and enterprise networks.

Richard has spent 28 years in IT mostly as a technical manager in an IT service delivery environment with the last 10 years as an Information Security Manager. Currently Richard is the IT Security Manager at the Canal & River Trust and an endpoint assessor for cyber security apprenticeships for BCS. Previously he was the Cyber Security subject matter expert for the BCS apprenticeships programme, consultant Information Security Manager and Data Protection Officer, the Information Security Manager for Halfords the FTSE 250 high street retail group and before that he spent 20 years with RM Education the UK’s leading educational ICT managed service provider. Richard is neurodivergent with Asperger’s and dyslexia.

Paul has been involved in network security and DNS for many years and currently works for Nominet building solutions that involve these new standards.
