Membership Accreditation

The CIISec Accreditation Framework has been developed to define the competency requirements for Security Professionals to gain Associate, Full and Fellow levels of accreditation. Our approach has been used to underpin external schemes run by the NCSC and law enforcement. You can use the Framework to progress your own pathways through our Membership Accreditation below:

Which type of Accredited Membership is right for you?

Associate Membership

Individuals who can demonstrate a breadth of knowledge and some practical experience should apply at this level. Candidates are likely to be successful at this level if they have 2+ years in an information security role.

Full Membership

Individuals who can demonstrate breadth and depth of knowledge and substantial practical experience should apply at this level. Candidates are likely to be successful at this level if they have 5-10 years in an information security role.

Interested in Certified Cyber Professional (CCP)?

The redesigned NCSC Certified Professional (CCP) Assured Service launched on Monday 14th June 2021 and will recognise cyber security practitioners against their specialisms. CIISec will continue to be one of the Certification Bodies for the assured service and begin taking applications for the Risk Management specialism.
