CIISec’s CyberEPQ was a finalist in the category of “Security Training Programme of the Year” at the esteemed Computing Security Excellence Awards 2024 held in London on Thursday 2 May 2024.
This achievement is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation in the field of security through our delivery of the CyberEPQ.
The award goes to an initiative that is working to bring new people into the world of security through a dedicated training programme; CyberEPQ lost out to National Grid for their security awareness and training.
Nicky Bodily, CyberEPQ Lead at CIISec remarked:
“This nomination is not just a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team but also a reflection of our collective passion for creating an impactful and effective security training programme covering a broad range of topics. It is a recognition of the tireless efforts we have invested in developing a cutting-edge course which is frequently reviewed to include new and emerging areas in the world of cyber.
We would like to acknowledge the support from the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology whose trust and support has allowed us to provide funded places to students; helping us to increase the diversity of our cohort to reach students across the UK with a particular focus on schools in areas of social deprivation. It is your collaboration and feedback that drive us to continuously innovate and raise the bar for excellence.”
To ensure long term sustainability of the CyberEPQ, CIISec is working hard to develop partnerships between schools and industry through sponsorship packages, offering businesses a number of ways they can support students – from as little as £200 – whilst playing their part in developing the talent pipeline of the future.
