Student membership is ideal for those studying cyber and information security. It offers the opportunity to attend CIISec events providing the invaluable benefit of learning from and networking with CIISec members at all levels.

Who is eligible for student membership?
Student membership is open to students studying cyber and information security related courses within any academic institution. For those studying at a non-UK academic institution, please check your eligibility by contacting membership@ciisec.org.
Student Membership Benefits
Free Student Membership
Each academic year, our Academic partners can take up a Student Membership offer whereby they purchase membership for all their students on cyber security-related degrees. This helps encourage students to become members without having to pay for a £20 Student Membership.
Transition of student membership to the next level
CIISec Student members can benefit from an additional year of student membership following their graduation. This provides the students with the opportunity to use our resources and aid their career pathways.
Post-nominals
Our Student Members that successfully graduate from an NCSC Certified course are eligible to claim the post-nominals AfCIIS, giving students a way to proudly display their cyber security knowledge and accelerate their careers.
CyberEPQ
Our CyberEPQ is the UK’s first and only Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) in Cyber Security. This unique cyber security qualification has been developed through collaboration with education and cyber security partners to help provide a starting point for anyone considering a career in cyber security.
The qualification is delivered online with 10 Core Compulsory Modules and 3 Specialist Modules. Students can cover topics from digital forensics to security testing and vulnerability assessment. Our content is guided by the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and aligned with the Cyber Security Body of Knowledge (CyBOK) Skills and Knowledge Framework. Our CyberEPQ can help you to gain recognition of your cyber education and demonstrate your interest in the industry.
