We are proud to celebrate another incredible year for the CyberEPQ, with our 2024–25 cohort of students delivering exceptional results. Their achievements not only raise the bar for cyber education but also demonstrate the passion, talent, and diversity of the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
This year’s results reflect not only the hard work and dedication of students, but also the support of teachers, supervisors and schools across the UK. With new schools joining and increasing diversity among participants, the CyberEPQ continues to provide a pathway for talented young people to explore cybersecurity, develop practical skills and take their first steps toward a rewarding career in this fast-growing field.
A Year of Achievement
This year, students across the UK worked hard to produce inspiring projects and showcase their skills in cybersecurity. Some of the highlights include:
- 242 projects submitted to City & Guilds, with 180 students achieving top A*–B grades
- Delivered by 49 schools and 3 independent supervision groups, including 44 state schools across England and Northern Ireland
- 30 new schools joined the CyberEPQ this year, enrolling students for the first time
- 27% of the cohort were female, with a third of top grades (A*–B) achieved by female students
- Two students achieved full marks — an outstanding accomplishment!
Looking Ahead to 2025–26
Early-bird enrolment is now open for both our 1-year (2025–26) and extended (2025–27) cohorts ahead of the main enrolment period in September. We are already excited to welcome 67 students, including 6 new schools, who are beginning their journey with the CyberEPQ. Each new enrolment represents another step towards building a stronger, more diverse cybersecurity workforce.
Thank You to Our Supporters
A huge part of this success is thanks to CIISec’s Corporate Member organisations. Their funding has enabled more students than ever to take their first steps on the pathway to a career in cyber. We are deeply grateful to these organisations; by supporting student places, they are not only investing in education but actively shaping the future cybersecurity workforce.
