Introduction
In autumn 2015 the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP) commissioned its first member survey to gain the views of the membership on a wide range of issues.
Many of these related specifically to the benefits of membership of the IISP, as well as the operation of the IISP from the point of view of its members.
However, the third section of the survey looked at members’ views on the information security market, the industry that supplies goods, services and technology and the state of security preparedness and risk awareness within the wider industry.
The findings reflect industry trends across a broad range of market sectors, so they have value beyond the membership itself. This white paper delivers these finding and details of the respondents can be found in Appendix 1.
